Muthupettai, August 6, 2025 –

The Departments of Computer Applications and Commerce of Caussanel College of Arts and Science, Muthupettai, jointly organized a seminar on “Safeguarding the Digital World: Cyber Security and Law”.

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. R. Kalyan Kumar, Head of the Department of Commerce, and Mrs. R. Suganya, Head of the Department of Computer Applications.

The seminar began with a welcome address by Prof. Mrs. Sashirekha. Following this, Rev. Bro. A. Edward Francis, Secretary of the College, Rev. Bro. Dr. L. Soosainathan shj, Principal, and Rev. Bro. Dr. T. Arulraj, Dean, delivered felicitations and emphasized the importance of creating awareness about cyber safety.

The Chief Guest, Mr. B. Balachandran, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime Branch), Ramanathapuram District, delivered the keynote address. Mr. A. Ritchadson, Assistant Police Inspector (Crime Branch), Ramanathapuram District, enlightened the students with detailed insights on cyber security measures, online threats, their consequences, and preventive strategies to stay safe in the digital space.

The seminar was graced by the presence of the Vice Principals, Mrs. T.Mahalakshmi and Mr. B.K. MathanNagan, who extended their support.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. R. Suganya. The event was efficiently compered by students Maria Medonsa Rimini and Maria Jerline.
